North Potomac Basement
In this North Potomac home we worked on transforming this basement into a spacious spot for entertaining guests and some good old family fun!
We were able to achieve that by completely demoing a huge storage section, moving it to the back wall, adding a new support beam and removing a post.
We gave this space a new layout that improved functionality, some great lighting, new doors/trim, better insulation for the cold winter months, and of course some fun features. Check out the details below including before, during and after photos.
-
Open concept, perfect for entertaining
-
Recessed Refrigerator (used space behind the stairs)
-
Recessed Lighting all around
-
New carpet and trim
-
New framing and insulation for better temp control

This area was part of unfinished storage. We opened it up to create 1 large open space. Removed 1 post that was in the middle of the room by replacing the existing beam. Recessed fridge under the stairs.

Added recessed lights and mounted the TV on the new wall!

All new trim and new door to access laundry area.

Took out all the paneling this basement had. Framing, insulation, drywall and paint!

Storage area staying in the same spot, new paint and carpet.
